Easier way to add flight information
Not at all clear on how you add a flight to Planapple. Should be able to just email the itinerary or at the very least have a simple look-up based on Flight #, airline, and date. It is not at all clear how you add transportation currently.

I see that this idea was posted nearly 5 years ago. Kayak, TripIt, and others support this. Just supply the airline, date, and flight #, and all the details are filled in.
I've pretty much limited my use of Planapple as a place to gather articles and information about my travel destinations. Other sites have surpassed you as a travel and itinerary planner.

David, it looks like you may have "regenerated" your TripIt calendar feed after adding it to Planapple (with the little "recycle" icon on the TripIt settings page). This expires the old TripIt feed url and creates a new one. You'll need to add that new one to Planapple. Please get in touch with us directly through "Contact support" if you have any questions.
Also, TripIt has changed some things since we wrote that original blog article. We have updated instructions at https://planapple.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/879162. (In particular, TripIt calendar feeds now start with "https" rather than "webcal".)

The TripIt link doesn't appear to be working for my NZ trip. I added the calendar feed as described, and it shows up when I go to the import link, but my flight information is not displaying. I agree that being able to add flight info (or any transportation option like ferries, rail, etc) should be more straightforward.

I don't have a tripit account or plan. How can I add my flight info?! Is there a way to manually add items to each day in my itinerary instead of just websites or emails?

Hi Jason,
Thanks for the suggestion. You're right that adding flight info to your Planapple Trip is not as streamlined as it could be right now. If you email your itinerary/confirmation email to save@planapple.com it should be automatically added to your trip, but not scheduled on your itinerary.
We did recently add a way to import your travel itinerary from TripIt however, which does make this easier. If you email your itinerary to TripIt and then sync your Planapple trip with TripIt, all of your flight details will be automatically imported.
Here's a recent blog article on how it works:

Thanks for your feedback and thanks for trying Planapple.
