Todo List/Check List/Packing List
When I stumbled upon your app I was thinking about how nice it would be to have a Travel app that was pretty much the knot, but for traveling. A place to keep a todo list, have suggested things to be thinking about before your travels, suggest time frames for when to secure flights, lodging, etc. Whenever you’re planning for a big trip it’s easy to forget things (If you have pets, set up there care plan while you’re away. If you’re going out of the country be sure to get your passport....) This is very close, and my husband and I will definitely be using it for our trip, but that check list that you can add to would be amazing so you can heck it off as you go and see your progress.

Visual Indication when new items/discussions are added
Have an easy, visual way to show that something has been added/commented on when viewing the trip page. For instance, if I start a Discussion with my tripmate, perhaps show Discussion in bold or with a (1) after it to indicate that there's something new there.
My tripmate doesn't always check his email, so he's not likely to see the notifications. If there was an easy way to see that there are new items (and where they are), it would be really helpful.14 votes
We’re thinking about adding little orange dots by items that have been updated, and also showing the updated count in the list on the left. (Kind of like iPhone/Android mail apps show the unread count.)
Add more than one link (bookmark) to an item
I would like to ad more links (bookmarks) to an item. Sometimes you have the homepage of a restaurant for example and want to keep a forum post about that restaurant for reference.9 votes2 comments · Other · Admin →
You can actually do this now, but only through the Planapple Save Button. There’s not yet any way to add additional bookmarks from within Planapple itself. (We’ll treat votes for this suggestion as a vote for that feature.)
When you’re using the Save Button, there are two tabs at the top: “New Item” and “Update”. Use the “Update” tab to add the page you’re saving to an existing item in your trip.
Show basic description for Notebook items without going to Details
Show at least part of a description without having to view details. My tripmate has never been in the area we're going to. I added various attractions that I'm familiar with, but my tripmate isn't. If you're just glancing through at the names, it's hard to tell what some of them are. It'd be nice to have at least part of the description showing on the list so there's an idea of what the attraction is. Right now the only thing that shows is who created it, when, possibly a rating, and comments.7 votes
Permanently delete items (empty the trash)
Right now, you can archive items, but they stick around in your "Removed Items". You should be able to delete them permanently from the trash.6 votes

Have an RSS feed for my trip
It would be nice to have the option to choose an email notification and/or an RSS feed for trip updates/additions.3 votes
I wouldn't mind a cultural section. Like tips about customs in a place, so we as travellers can be respectful of the cultures we are visiting.2 votes
Paypal family/friend money contribution/display for the trip
A pay pal account and page for the host to have access to, where participants of the trip can periodically contribute their portion of the money for the trip. It would be nice to keep track of who has paid and how much people have left to pay. It would also guarantee that the money is available for the trip. The contributors can't touch it until the trip starts. It protects your trip from misbudgeting!!2 votes
Change the graphics
How about a little better job on the graphics. The current ones are a little cheesy.2 votes
Hi, I love this platform. It is the perfect way to plan a vacation. One thing I would like to do though is tag tripmates in specific plans because we will not all be participating in certain aspects of the trip. As of right now I just use the labels or make comments, but it would be nice to have a specific tripmate tag ability.1 vote
Submit planapple.com for HSTS preloading
If planapple.com were HSTS preloaded, then newer releases of browsers would know to connect to it using only HTTPS, even if the browser has never visited planapple.com before.
Not only would this make planapple.com more secure, but even the preparation for HSTS preloading also involves implementing better security practices, so overall, HSTS preloading is a good thing.
Please submit planapple.com for HSTS preloading here:
Unicode support in text fields
Unicode support in text fields would be nice. You could use emoji's to represent certain activities. Currently, where ever you add an emoji in a heading both the emoji and the text following it is deleted.1 vote
add tags/labels list needs to be scrollable
When you add a place or web link and want to tag it, once you have a decent number of tags you cannot scroll the tags list to add it, nor can you free type and have existing tags appear. I was having a look at Planapple and getting some content in to see if it'd work for a friend and I in our trip planning and loved the tags feature while we are still working out what we want to do out of all of the options, but the lack of scrollability makes this feature unusable. Unless I've missed something and can drag drop tags. I shall go and explore. I initially thought this might be an issue just on my phone but it's also an issue on a desktop browser.

Need an Address Book
It would be nice if you had an address book where you could put friends or family emails that you travel with often in, and then be able to select them in the invite friends on a trip function. Typing in the email addresses is a pain.1 vote
GPX file uploading Suggestion
This is just what I have been looking for. One feature that might work, I plan off road trips as well as other types, it a feature that allows users to upload GPX files so the group can upload those too. Google isn't the best for those trips as an end result, but a great tool for the initial planning and allowing people to see where they are going.
There might be security issues with file uploads and maybe that is why you don't have it. Just a thought.1 vote
Places by country
Be able to have a country with subset places that have all the Planapple functionality.1 vote
Custom category icons
I'd like to have new folders that I've added have different icon buttons (and not just the planapple shadow). So when I see "Everything" on the map, I know which flag/folder it belongs too1 vote
Brazilian portuguese translation
Hi. You should add Brazilian portuguese language. I recommend your site to all my friends, but many don't speak english.
I can help with the translation if you give me a data dictionary. I love planapple1 vote
