route planning features for road trips
I'd like to be able to enter start and end locations, and add or remove stops inbetween. Overlayed on this I'd like to be able to see lodging, tourist stops, food, gas stations etc...

I guess there are two versions of this: a longer trip where you might be staying in different places each night, or a shorter trip where you are planning the day's excursion.
I am more interested in the short term planning. Right now, this can sort of be done by adding a bunch of locations and setting times for each. I would like to be able to plan a route without having to set specific times for each item, but just setting up an outline. This also requires the ability to return to an item without having to add it to the Notebook twice.

I agree. I like the app inRoute for routing. It's very adjustable with pins, timelines, etc. this format would be nice, but I don't believe it includes the search for local items, like gas stations etc, unfortunately.

Yes!!! I am looking for a tool with this feature for years already and maybe even make it more social, like sharing routes with each other?
