You can actually do this now, but only through the Planapple Save Button. There’s not yet any way to add additional bookmarks from within Planapple itself. (We’ll treat votes for this suggestion as a vote for that feature.)
When you’re using the Save Button, there are two tabs at the top: “New Item” and “Update”. Use the “Update” tab to add the page you’re saving to an existing item in your trip.

I've only just started using PlanApple, and this is a great feature, but the Save Button struggles when you've got a long (and growing) list of items to look thru and find the right one to update.
The ability to add additional bookmarks directly to an item would be brilliant, but failing that, perhaps a way to filter the "Update" items list by Category would be helpful.
