be able to visit an attraction multiple times
I want to visit a particular attraction muliple times, not beginning one day and ending on another.
4 votesThis is already available, per the comment below. (There’s another suggestion in this forum about making it easier to schedule times, and you may want to vote for that as well.)

More control over what prints
At the moment, when I print the itinerary absolutely everything is included. I'd like to be able to pick. So maybe just an itinerary of lodgings and attractions, but not all the notes and extras.
18 votesWe just added a bunch of print options, so you can omit sections you don’t want.

Have 'notes'
It would be nice to have 'notes' in the itinerary, meaning you can have reminders without needing to bookmark links and things like that. Sometimes you want reminders but they're not places to go or specific events.
4 votes(Planapple already supports notes — see Pete’s comment below.)

See which items are scheduled or not (added to itinerary)
It would be convenient to know which items are already added to the itinerary. So that by simply looking at the list you could see which items you have scheduled and which are unscheduled. Even a simple mark near the item icon could be sufficient. Being able to filter the list to scheduled/unscheduled would be even better.
26 votesYou can now sort any of your notebooks by “itinerary.” (Change the sort at the top right of the notebook list.) When you do this, all of the not-yet-scheduled items will be grouped together at the end, as “Unscheduled.”

This is actually available now.
You can re-order the sections (destinations) in your trip by clicking the EDIT TRIP link near the top and going to the Trip Sections tab. Just drag the circles up and down in that list.

See the places I choose in the map
It would be great if I can see the places I choose in the map.
7 votesPlease see the comment below for instructions on getting items to show up in the map.

Add Places to Map
I would find it very helpful, if I could add places to my trip-map. Maybe you could provide different place categories, like accomodation, restaurants, sights ore something else. It would also be cool if I could just add a note to a certain place. So this could also be some kind of travel log.

Reduce number of email notifications
Everytime I edit my trip, I get an email notification of the changes. This is mutiple emails within the hour if I am making many changes to my trip. Ideally, either:
a) I would not be notified of my own changes, only changes made by others,
or
b) I receive a summary of changes no more frequently than once a week.3 votesJust an update: we recently changed this so that you won’t be notified about changes you make to your own trips. (And we also fixed a bug where the “notify me once a week” setting wasn’t doing what it was supposed to.)

Show items in categories sorted by itinerary schedule
In a notebook category view, be able to view the attractions (or whatever) ordered by when they're scheduled in the itinerary.
44 votesWe’ve just added “itinerary” as an option for sorting your notebook lists. Change the sort order at the top right of the list.

Fix Update Time Stamp
The email update's posted time of the update is incorrect. This can be confusing.
An example of this can be seen in the Planapple email I received after posting:
Marilyne Schottenfeld said:
"This is a test and only at test. The time of this posting is 3:26 PM PST"Updated 11:01 p.m. Jan 07
You can see that the updated time of 11:01 p.m. is not even close to 3:26 PM PST. The time that the email was sent from Planapple was 3:33 PM.
1 voteGood catch, and thanks for letting us know about it. This is fixed now.
Not only were we acting like everyone lived in London, it was some weird version of London where Big Ben’s minute hand was stuck in the upper right. Really not very helpful.
Now when we email you with trip updates, we try to show the correct time in your own timezone. If we’ve got your timezone wrong, you can change it in your account settings at www.planapple.com/account/profile/

let me delete trips
I have about 10 trips in Planapple now, and the "My Trips" menu is getting huge. Can I delete the trips I already took?
3 votesYou can now archive trips from the trips page in your account settings. Look at the bottom of the My Trips menu, or just go directly to http://www.planapple.com/account/trips/

let my friends use their Facebook account instead of signing up for Planapple
I invited a bunch of friends to plan a trip, but they say they don't want to create new accounts at another site - even though I told them how great Planappkle is. A lot of sites let you just use your Facbook login instead of signing up again. Could Planapple do that?
1 voteGreat suggestion! We just hooked this up for Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, and Google Apps accounts.

Show weather in Celsius
Our temperatures here are in C, not F. Not everywhere in the world is the U.S.A., you know. :-)
1 voteWe’ve updated the weather widget to display either C or F — just click on the temperature to change it. You can also now change 12/24-hour time display by clicking on the time. (And you can change all of these in your account settings page – http://www.planapple.com/account/profile/)

print my trip details to take with me
I'd like to take the list of places, map, addresses with me on the trip, in a nice printed format.
5 votesWe’ve added a “Print Trip” link on the left side of your trip page, near the bottom. It opens a new copy of the trip nicely formatted for printing. Tip: you can use your print dialog’s “page range” to exclude parts you don’t want to print.
