Add items directly to calendar
I'd like to be able to add items to the itinerary directly in the calendar, maybe by right-clicking or double-clicking on a date in the calendar, rather than adding it to the notebook first.

Cultural Tips
I wouldn't mind a cultural section. Like tips about customs in a place, so we as travellers can be respectful of the cultures we are visiting.

Non-web activities for Itinerary
Purpose of my trip is to visit family and old home. Allowing for non-web activities, especially in itinerary would help.

Paypal family/friend money contribution/display for the trip
A pay pal account and page for the host to have access to, where participants of the trip can periodically contribute their portion of the money for the trip. It would be nice to keep track of who has paid and how much people have left to pay. It would also guarantee that the money is available for the trip. The contributors can't touch it until the trip starts. It protects your trip from misbudgeting!!

download the trip, not print it!
I want to send this itinerary to my family without them having to log in (being invited by me) but a print out just does not work in this case. So a download or save as pdf would be fabulous!

Fuzzy-schedule plans
Possibility to have Items "fuzzy"-scheduled, e.g. floating inside a week, but still in the Itinerary.
Use case: Collecting lots of ideas and then deciding which to actually do by moving some into the Itinerary, but not knowing (yet) what exact days (depending on weather, mood, etc.)2 votes -
come back to same location where i started from.
How would one put the start city as the end city also. Errors in duplicate entry, when I tried entering location in this order:
- Tokyo 2 nights
- Kyoto 3 nights
- Osaka 2 nights
- Tokyo 3 nights

Itinerary in a Calendar Format
It would be great to be able to see the itinerary in a calendar view.

Interactive Map
I think it would be really great if you could interact with the map. By this, I mean being able to click on locations or marking certain locations (possibly adding notes to each point I've marked). If there was an interactive map like this, it would be much easier for me to visualize my trip and its route. The interactive part of the map would be extremely helpful!

Change the graphics
How about a little better job on the graphics. The current ones are a little cheesy.

Add gps coordinates in the address field
Putting gps coordinates in the address field seams to find a place close to the coordinates, but not at them. Would be handy to be able to recognice coordinates in the address field. For example the trailhead of a hike might get stored that way.

Flight/Booking Reservation Details
I see there is a way to forward your itinerary but there really should also be a function to manually input those fields for the trip as well!

Add item to itinerary
Hi - great system!
My wife is traveling, and she left me with an incomplete Planapple - no itinerary. I am now adding items to the itinerary, and if I highlight an item which is listed in Everything, there is a link to add it to the itinerary, but no date of when she will be there (in this example it is a hotel stay), so I need to click on the item to get the dates she will be there. But once in the item, there is no link to Add To Itinerary. A link here - and likely…1 vote -

Copy/Past or clone an itinerary, so we can try different variations, order, or dates without losing the original.

Tripmate Tagging
Hi, I love this platform. It is the perfect way to plan a vacation. One thing I would like to do though is tag tripmates in specific plans because we will not all be participating in certain aspects of the trip. As of right now I just use the labels or make comments, but it would be nice to have a specific tripmate tag ability.

Submit planapple.com for HSTS preloading
If planapple.com were HSTS preloaded, then newer releases of browsers would know to connect to it using only HTTPS, even if the browser has never visited planapple.com before.
Not only would this make planapple.com more secure, but even the preparation for HSTS preloading also involves implementing better security practices, so overall, HSTS preloading is a good thing.

Unicode support in text fields
Unicode support in text fields would be nice. You could use emoji's to represent certain activities. Currently, where ever you add an emoji in a heading both the emoji and the text following it is deleted.
