Paypal family/friend money contribution/display for the trip
A pay pal account and page for the host to have access to, where participants of the trip can periodically contribute their portion of the money for the trip. It would be nice to keep track of who has paid and how much people have left to pay. It would also guarantee that the money is available for the trip. The contributors can't touch it until the trip starts. It protects your trip from misbudgeting!!

It would be great to access (with consent and anonymised [no dates, no names, no budget etc]) other trip plans' restaurants chosen, placed stayed in, activities in the same place, by user type (e.g. adventurer, young family)?
I am would love to build on - or at least consider - the ideas of other like-travellers.
Ideally, when I search for a place, a search list might say "Other travellers with young families went to x when in y". Alternatively, this could simply be a summarised list of trips to a place by people who have similar interests / needs.

download the trip, not print it!
I want to send this itinerary to my family without them having to log in (being invited by me) but a print out just does not work in this case. So a download or save as pdf would be fabulous!

Poll/vote feature
Please make a poll/vote feature! This type of tool begs for it, and I was under the assumption it was included in the way it was described.
For example, it would work like this. Create a poll that says "Would dates X thru Y work for you?" Then, everyone votes and a percentage is calculated (i.e. "75% of invitees have replied 'yes' ")

Fuzzy-schedule plans
Possibility to have Items "fuzzy"-scheduled, e.g. floating inside a week, but still in the Itinerary.
Use case: Collecting lots of ideas and then deciding which to actually do by moving some into the Itinerary, but not knowing (yet) what exact days (depending on weather, mood, etc.)2 votes -
Add a "make this page the default view for the trip" button
Not loving that the default trip view is "Everything" uncategorized, which causes intimidation for people new to the trip. Some control over the default trip view would help, maybe in the form of a "make this page the default view for the trip" button. Or, make the Itinerary the default view, and if there's nothing on the itinerary yet, there's instrux on how to get started.

How would one put the start city as the end city also. Errors in duplicate entry, when I tried entering location in this order:
- Tokyo 2 nights
- Kyoto 3 nights
- Osaka 2 nights
- Tokyo 3 nights

Have a field in the calender "between" days to put accommodation there.
In the calender I would like to have a "space" separating two days. If you do a long trip with several places where you sleep you can get confuesed easyly. Do you add the hote or campground to the day you arrive? Or to the day you depart? I found it to be much more conveneient to have an extra field "betwen" the days where I write down that places to sleep. I do this when planing in a simple list and would realy like to have this here, too.

It would be great to be able to see the itinerary in a calendar view.

Interactive Map
I think it would be really great if you could interact with the map. By this, I mean being able to click on locations or marking certain locations (possibly adding notes to each point I've marked). If there was an interactive map like this, it would be much easier for me to visualize my trip and its route. The interactive part of the map would be extremely helpful!

Can't see emailed pictures (jpg or pdf)
When I am on the go, I take pictures with my phone of things I want to remember to research. I have tried to email these pictures to my plan apple trip via my registered email account so that I can remember to follow up on the research, but the pictures do not appear. I wish they would!

Permanently delete items (empty the trash)
Right now, you can archive items, but they stick around in your "Removed Items". You should be able to delete them permanently from the trash.

Show basic description for Notebook items without going to Details
Show at least part of a description without having to view details. My tripmate has never been in the area we're going to. I added various attractions that I'm familiar with, but my tripmate isn't. If you're just glancing through at the names, it's hard to tell what some of them are. It'd be nice to have at least part of the description showing on the list so there's an idea of what the attraction is. Right now the only thing that shows is who created it, when, possibly a rating, and comments.
