duplicate trip or move ideas to new trip
I've saved all my ideas for a trip, and now want to plan aother one in the same area. I'd like to either duplicate it, or be able to move my "unused" ideas to the new trip.

Add a gamification option to your site!
If you want to motivate people to use the tool than gamification is the solution!

Export locations as gpx (or kml) with categories
I'd like to have planapple's locations on my mobile. But i'd like to use an OpenStreetMap tool like OsmAnd, because it works much better for me regarding offline navigation and self-defined favorites. So a more general export of all locations as gpx or kml would be really nice (i'd prefer gpx! :) ).
My current workaround is to select "Everything" in planapple, copy the string you provide via "Get directions on Google Maps" and convert it with a python script to gpx, then i can import these as favorites in OsmAnd. Sadly, the categories get lost as they are not…

Have a day or week-view scheduler, like in calendar apps
to be able to schedule items more easily, please add an option to view a scheduler like Microsoft outlook shows in it's calendar. I would like to see 1 day or 1 week view, be able to drag items between days and be able to set start & end times in the scheduler

UI for a larger screen
I really liked the app and the way it was designed, but I feel like everything is stretched to fit that fixed width and I'm underusing my 22" monitor. Would be nice to be able to have more used space in the screen (maybe a responsive layout) so I could see more details about the places I'll go and at the same time see the calendar or the map with more details as well.

Add/remove multiple pictures for items
Items with pictures added from the "Save to my trip" button can have their picture changed, but items with no picture does not allow us to add one later. It's also not possible to remove a photo from an item. And it would be nice to have multiple photos on an item.
49 votesThere’s now an “Add Picture” option for items with no pictures, and “Change Picture” now has a button to delete the photo. We’re still looking into supporting multiple pictures on an item at some point in the future.

Let us upload files/attachments
Allow files to be saved with the trip. E.g., a flight confirmation as PDF, Excel spreadsheet or Word documents, screenshots, etc.

Allow us to label while importing
It would be great if there was a way to apply a label to an imported item using only the "Save To Planapple" button. You can edit almost any other field, why can't you add labels to things as well?

Easier way to add flight information
Not at all clear on how you add a flight to Planapple. Should be able to just email the itinerary or at the very least have a simple look-up based on Flight #, airline, and date. It is not at all clear how you add transportation currently.

route planning features for road trips
I'd like to be able to enter start and end locations, and add or remove stops inbetween. Overlayed on this I'd like to be able to see lodging, tourist stops, food, gas stations etc...

Let us upload our own photos and pictures
and add them to items and perhaps attach them as comments to trip messages (ie post them to the news feed)

Make it easier to set specific times for itinerary items
It takes a lot of clicks now to set a time for an itinerary item. Forget the exact order but it was click on item > details > edit details > more details > finally a way to add hours which is a long list if you want to enter a pm time.

Show how far things are from my hotel or destination
There are all sort of ideas that I'm gathering, but I'm not familiar with the area, so it would be nice to know how far the attractions are from my destination city or the hotel where we're staying. It would be great if this was shown in the hover box, be able to sort by distance as well.

get directions or route between different places in my trip
If we have a bunch of places we're going on one day, we'd like to get directions from our hotel to each of them and then back. Right now, we use Google Maps and have to copy each place into it. It would be nice if Planapple could somehow do this for us.
23 votesWe’ve added something to make this a little easier. Under the map, there’s a new “Get directions on Google Maps” link. Clicking that will open Google Maps with all of the places currently showing on the map, and you can get directions between them there.
As a reminder, in Planapple the map shows whatever places are in the list on the left. So if you’re looking at Dining, all the restaurants will show up. (Also, places only show up on the map if Planapple knows their addresses. You can set or change an item’s address by clicking “Edit Details” on the item.)

iPhone app
Planapple should have an iPhone app that copies my trip to my phone so I can see it when I'm out of the country.
